Chardonnay - Russian River Valley

Description

The 2023 Chardonnay is built around a rio of vineyards from the Russian River Valley AVA. The cuvée’s core is driven by an older vine vineyard, planted in the mid-70’s, floral and precise this portion of the blend provides apple blossom and stone fruit. Balancing against that, vineyards from Westside Road lend density, texture and its hallmark shaved almonds—a classic character in Chardonnay.

The 2022 Chardonay is an authentic example of the harvest day flavor experience. Choices made in farming and winemaking reflect the delicious and balanced nature of cool-climate chardonnay. This was particularly important in the 2022 vintage, as heat was plentiful in the closing days of the season. The blend of geography, elevation and marine layer of these vineyards bring everything from rich, baked apple and exotic notes, to fresh picked pear and zesty citrus. As always, texture coats the palate adding luxury while nuanced acidity balances the finish.
