Description
Tucked away on a dirt driveway along Story Creek on Westside Road in the Russian River, we have stumbled upon this beautiful old-vine Sauvignon Blanc vineyard that produces some of the most remarkable wine we have found in Sonoma County. Planted in the late 70’s, this vineyard enjoys the cool Russian River mornings and with a north facing, terrace, avoids the extremes of the afternoon sun. On the nose, the wine is driven by an exotic combination of orange blossom, kiwi fruit and gooseberries. The palate is clean and full, with honeydew melon and guava that is finishes with fresh inviting acidity. Fermented in neutral barrels sur-lees, the wine is textural and fresh lending to several years of enjoyment.
